Points for language and for age are awarded once, at the highest matching level. You need at least 6 points.
What else you need besides points
- A university degree or vocational training of 2+ years recognised in the country of issue.
- German from A1 or English from B2.
- Proof of funds: €1,091 per month: a blocked account of €13,092 for a year, a formal sponsorship declaration, or part-time work of up to 20 hours a week.
- The Opportunity Card is issued for one year; you may work up to 20 hours a week plus trial work of up to two weeks.
Full recognition as a skilled worker gives you the Opportunity Card without points. Details and documents are on the page “Opportunity Card package”.
