RE-LOCATE is a team of labour migration experts who have been through relocation and integration themselves. Each of us lives and works in Germany, and our professional lives have been tied to this country for more than 20 years. We know the requirements of German consulates, the Ausländerbehörde and employers first-hand and will take you the shortest route, from assessing your chances and choosing a visa to getting your residence permit.
The idea for the service grew out of successfully helping friends relocate. Kristina has travelled half the world and chose Germany: the EU's economic engine and a strong job market for international professionals. EU Blue Card holders with B1 German can obtain a permanent settlement permit (Niederlassungserlaubnis) after just 21 months. It's a great base for travelling around Europe, and in big cities English goes a long way.

Chances assessment & relocation strategy
Review of your education, work experience and language skills. Choosing the right residence basis under the Residence Act (AufenthG): EU Blue Card, work visa, Chancenkarte, IT visa, freelance visa.
Diploma recognition
University and degree check in the Anabin database, foreign degree evaluation by the ZAB (Zeugnisbewertung), recognition for regulated professions (Anerkennung).
National visa (Visum D)
Application via the Auslandsportal, document package per the consulate checklist, CV and motivation letter, visa interview preparation.
Employer documents
Review of the employment contract and Erklärung zum Beschäftigungsverhältnis, advice on the Federal Employment Agency's pre-approval (Vorabzustimmung) and the fast-track procedure for skilled workers (§81a AufenthG).
First steps in Germany
Residence registration (Anmeldung), tax ID (Steuer-ID), social security number, bank account, health insurance.
Residence permit & family reunion
Aufenthaltstitel at the Ausländerbehörde, permit renewal, route to permanent settlement (Niederlassungserlaubnis), documents for spouse and children.
